Summary of Position:

ProCraft Cabinetry Chicago is a wholesale cabinetry company specializing in full overlay framed cabinetry and semi-custom luxury frameless European-style cabinetry. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality products and excellent service to contractors, builders, and homeowners.

The position of Kitchen and Bath Designer/ Sales will be responsible for delivering exceptional design knowledge and expertise to ProCraft's clients. They will deal directly with walk-in homeowners and contractors and will create completely original designs for their projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our design partner, Kitchen 365, to review plans, resolve issues, and ensure design accuracy. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, excellent communication skills, and experience with 20/20 Design software.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure ProCraft's clients are cared for in any way reasonably requested throughout the client’s entire process, as it relates to the design process and interactions within the Showroom/office.
  • Abate issues with client orders by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to the Sales Manager.
  • Complete original renderings, drawings, sketches, etc., to clients, upon request, for their project.
  • Design kitchen(s) and bathroom(s) from start to finish, using 20/20 software.
  • Attend weekly Sales and Design Team meetings.
  • Help clients select products based on their needs, product specifications, and regulations.
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of their customers' needs, technical knowledge of product capabilities, and limitations.
  • Negotiate prices, prepare sales agreements, and contracts, and submit orders for processing.
  • Keeps the Manager informed of when there needs to be an escalated issue
  • Follow up with clients to make sure they are satisfied with their purchases and to answer any questions or concerns.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 2+ years of experience in kitchen/bath design using 2020 Design Software.
  • Knowledge of cabinetry construction: framed, frameless, full overlay, semi-custom.
  • Familiarity with European frameless cabinetry specifications and construction.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, cabinet installation, and NKBA standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in reading architectural drawings and job site measurements.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Customer service mindset and ability to represent the company professionally.
  • Experience working with remote design support teams.
  • Prior experience in a wholesale cabinetry or manufacturing environment.
  • Be able to speak Polish or Spanish (Preferred).

Educations:
  • College ’s degree or over two years of work experience in a related field.

Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as a kitchen and bath designer or related position, preferably in a related field. 
  • Or cabinet drafting and design: 2 years (Preferred).

Compensation: $40,000-$45,000 per year + Commissions (Negotiate based on work experience)

Work Location: On-Site work. 4620 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL 60162
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday. 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
