• Supervise and coordinate daily cabinet painting, staining, priming, and finishing operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer specifications.
• Lead, train, and support the painting team while promoting productivity, consistency, safety, and attention to detail.
• Manage the complete finishing process, including cleaning, sanding, patching, filling, priming, masking, staining, painting, and topcoat application.
• Apply appropriate painting and finishing techniques across various cabinet styles, wood species, and composite materials to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes.
• Verify colors, sheens, and finishes accurately match approved showroom samples and customer specifications.
• Inspect cabinets throughout the finishing process and identify defects, including cracks, nicks, scratches, nail holes, joints, and other imperfections.
• Document quality issues and immediately notify management of damage or flaws that cannot be repaired.
• Properly clean cabinet components—including doors, drawers, boxes, and undersides—using appropriate cleaners and scuffing materials to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants.
• Ensure all surfaces are properly prepared through sanding, patching, filling, priming, and masking before finishing.
• Monitor color matching, color modulation, coverage, texture, and overall finish consistency.
• Safely operate and maintain spray systems, hand tools, painting equipment, and related finishing equipment.
• Organize and label doors, drawers, hinges, hardware, and other components to ensure accurate and efficient reassembly.
• Secure and properly store removed hardware and components throughout the finishing process.
• Prepare and maintain clean, organized work areas, including the proper use of red rosin paper, plastic, masking materials, and other protective coverings.
• Process and prioritize orders according to customer requirements, specifications, and production schedules.
• Monitor paint, stain, primer, and finishing material usage to control costs, reduce waste, and maintain adequate inventory.
• Coordinate with production, management, and other departments to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain accurate production and quality-control records and communicate project status, material needs, and quality concerns to management.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety procedures, quality standards, and applicable environmental requirements.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve finishing quality, efficiency, workflow, and production processes.
• Be comfortable working in the warehouse and painting room.

• 3–5 years of professional cabinet painting, finishing, or equivalent experience, with demonstrated knowledge of wood and composite materials.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, sanding, priming, staining, painting, spraying, color matching, sheens, and finish applications.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality, consistency, cleanliness, and proper finishing techniques.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
• Strong ability to identify quality issues, troubleshoot finishing problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Clear and effective communication with supervisors, team members, production staff, and management.
• Ability to safely operate painting equipment, hand tools, and related finishing equipment while following workplace safety procedures.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
